The components of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA, Pub. L. 111-5) regarding protected health information and electronic records went into effect on September 2009 with a compliance date of February 2010. Due to the requirements in these new regulations, Sentara Health Plans has revised the current Business Associate Agreement (BAA) and are asking your assistance with getting your new BAA executed.
