Optima Health is pleased to announce new additions to the Optima Design family of products. The Optima Design integrated Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) product suite is being expanded to provide additional choices to our members with Design RxDeductible plans. In addition, we are offering a new health incentive program to help motivate employees toward a healthier lifestyle.

Design RxDeductible plans apply pharmacy expenses to the same general Deductible as medical expenses. After the Deductible, standard pharmacy Copayments apply. These new plans are offered with select Deductible and Coinsurance options. With these new Optima Design RxDeductible plans only, clients must utilize the Employer-First HRA payment structure. Also unique to these plans, members will receive a debit card to pay for eligible out-of-pocket expenses to a provider or a pharmacy. The RxDeductible plans are 9 to 14 percent less expensive than the comparable Design plans with pharmacy Copayments before the Deductible.

Optima Design Rewards is a comprehensive health incentive program (HIP) for Optima Design members. This program helps employers to motivate their employees to engage in healthy behaviors by crediting incentive dollars into their existing HRA. Plan features include:

  • Employers customize the employee incentive amount for completing any or all of a standard set of four activities: personal health assessment, exercise plan, nutrition plan, and engagement with a Health Coach.
  • Employees receive a monetary reward in their HRA within 30 days of completing each activity.
  • The dollars credited to the employee's HRA can be used for deductible-eligible expenses.

The Optima Design Rewards program will be available to sell on July 1 for an August 1 or later effective date.
